Immigrant Progress Academic Scholarship

Are you undocumented and working to further your education and skills? The Center for Immigrant Progress is excited to provide a scholarship of $1,000 to students pursuing college courses, trade school, or other workforce training programs. Applications are now open, and awards will be announced on a rolling basis.

Requirements:

  1. Must reside in Lake County, IL, and be enrolled for the 2025-2026 calendar year at an accredited college, university, or vocational training program.

  2. Be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.

  3. Should demonstrate leadership through community involvement on or off campus.

  4. Must be undocumented, DACA or TPS holder, high school senior graduating by May of 2025, or be enrolled in college or vocational training courses for the Summer or Fall of 2025.

  5. Minimum of 1 letter of recommendation. This can be a personal or academic reference and should speak to your character, achievements, and goals. Letters need to be signed and submitted in PDF format, to kalvarez@centerforimmigrantprogress.org.

  6. Complete this form and send your official or unofficial transcript to kalvarez@centerforimmigrantprogress.org.
