Immigrant Progress Academic Scholarship

Are you undocumented and working to further your education and skills? The Center for Immigrant Progress is excited to provide a scholarship of $1,000 to students pursuing college courses, trade school, or other workforce training programs. Applications are due by April 8, 2024.

Requirements:

  1. Must reside in Lake County, IL, and be enrolled for the 2024-2025 calendar year at an accredited college, university, or vocational training program.

  2. Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA minimum of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.

  3. Should demonstrate leadership through community involvement on or off campus.

  4. Must be undocumented, DACA or TPS holder, high school senior graduating by May of 2024, or be enrolled in college or vocational training courses for Summer or Fall of 2024.

  5. Minimum of 1 letter of recommendation. This can be a personal or academic reference and should speak to your character, achievements, and goals. Letters need to be signed and submitted by the recommender, in PDF format to sandra@centerforimmigrantprogress.org by April 8.

  6. Complete this form and send your official or unofficial transcript to sandra@centerforimmigrantprogress.org.
